Error description

  • Attempting to modify the QMErrorLog qm.ini stanza on the IBM MQ
Appliance fails with the following error:

"AMQ6628E: It is not permitted to execute the command for stanza
QMErrorLog." when running the setmqini command to suppress
messages with the QMErrorLog stanza.

USERS AFFECTED:
This affects users of the IBM MQ Appliance who wish to use the
setmqini command to configure the QMErrorLog stanza.


Platforms affected:
MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic omission meant that the QMErrorLog was not considered a
valid stanza by the setmqini command on the MQ Appliance.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The setmqini command has been updated to add the QMErrorLog
stanza the list of valid stanzas.
