APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • amqldmpa command runs in FASTPATH mode by default. The amqldmpa
command can also be run in  STARDARD bindings mode. However
after
running the amqldmpa command in STARNDARD bindings mode to dump
queue details, queue might get damaged and one or more FDCs
indicating
object damage would be generated.

Probe Id          :- AQ205030
Component         :- aqqReadBytes
Major Errorcode   :- arcE_OBJECT_DAMAGED

Local fix

  • Run amqldmpa with default bind options.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A defect in MQ caused object damage when running the amqldmpa
command in STANDARD bindings mode.

Problem conclusion

  • MQ code has been modified to prevent the object damage problem.
