Error description

  • When a user tries to access the ACE v11 web UI with a browser
that is configured to use a language other than English,
UI strings that have not been translated will appear as
translation keys rather than falling back to the default
    language, i.e. English.

For example, using a German browser to access the help menu in
    the v11 webui will show:

    header.learn
    header.whats-new
    header.forum
    header.documentation

as these strings have not been translated yet.

When using English these appear as

    LEARN
    What's New
    Forum
    Documentation

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise version 11.0.0.3 or
lower who use a language other than English to administer their
Integration Nodes and Integration Servers via the Web admin user
    interface.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If a user-visible string in the ACE v11 web admin UI was missing
a translation to the preferred language specified in the user's
web browser then an internal identifier would be displayed
rather than falling back to the default English translation.

Problem conclusion

  • The web admin UI will now show the English translation if a
native language translation is available. If no English
translation is available then the internal identifier key will
    be shown as a fallback.
