Error description
The text in the banner file is returned by the Oracle Server as a reply when connecting. If this size of the message exceeds 256 characters then the dataDirect Oracle ODBC driver does not properly handle the response and returns the error "Network Error".

All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V11.0.0.3 and V11.0.0.4 using Oracle banner messages and ODBC. Platforms affected: AIX, HP-UX Itanium platform, Linux on Power platform, Linux on x86-64 platform, Linux on zSeries platform, Solaris x86-64 platform, Solaris SPARC platform, Windows on x86-64 platform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If an Oracle banner message is greater than 256 characters in length then an "Unexpected Network Error" is returned when connecting to an Oracle database using ODBC.
Problem conclusion
