APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When installing MQ on Solaris Sparc 11.4 you get an error

ERROR: This product requires a system with the sparcv9
instruction set

instruction set  /usr/bin/isalist

isalist is not included with Solaris 11.4.

Local fix

  • This is resolved in 8.0.0.11

USERS AFFECTED:
All the user who install MQ on solaris sparc 11.4.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The MQ Solaris Sparc installation code made use of the isalist
command during installation. In Solaris 11.4 the isalist command
is no longer available.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ Solaris Sparc installation code has been updated to
remove use of the isalist command.
