Error description

  • Using MQ v9, messages published with the expiration option
MQRO_EXPIRATION_WITH_FULL_DATA result in a report message with
    an unexpected format.
The MQRFH2 header in the report message is not consistent with
    MQRFH2 in the original message.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A message with an MQ RFH2 header was put to a queue with
    expiration option MQRO_EXPIRATION_WITH_FULL_DATA. When this
message expired the queue manager generated an expiry report and
the subsequent report message had additional MQRFH2 headers
which were not present in the original message. This problem
occurred because the queue manager incorrectly split the
original message and rearranged it with additional MQRFH2
headers. The original message should not be split and the
message in the expiry report should be same as the original
    message.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been corrected so that while adding the report
message to the reply-to queue the message is not split and
    rearranged with MQRFH2 header.
