Error description
When a channel is in retry mode, the queue manager attempts to start the channel based on the short/long retry intervals that are configured. However if a 'PING CHANNEL' command is executed when the channel is in retry mode then the queue manager will not attempt to start the channel as expected.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Any user using retry feature of the channel would experience that the retry was skipped at the time of PING CHANNEL command. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a PING CHANNEL command was used, the start time of the channel would be set to the current time which interfered with the channel retry logic.
Problem conclusion
The MQ channel logic has been modified not to set the start time as the current time if a PING CHANNEL command updates the status.
