Error description

  • The replication of backup data fails when the SLA that starts
    this replication is ending with a space.
    The error message seen in the job log is:
    ERROR,xxxxxx,Replication Failed (Failed to create storage
    replication relationship message :"Another relationship
    (df3de859d8cc12fd39c4bb751a19dc50) already exists for this
    volume"type :"DuplicateRelationshipError")
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics
    Manually verify the name from the failing SLA in the GUI. Check
    for a trailing space at the end of the SLA name.

Problem conclusion

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus level fails to replicate a SLA if the
    name of the SLA has a space at the end of the string. The
    software has been updated to truncate the space at the time
    of a SLA creation.
