Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of MQ applications on AIX with Sybase 15 ESD#5 XA switch
files. This affects all subsequent versions of Sybase such as
    Sybase 16.

    Platforms affected:
    AIX

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The XA library files shipped at Sybase 15 ESD#5 and later have
    changed format which causes
runtime errors with the MQ sample XA switch files.

Problem conclusion

  • The linking mechanism used in the MQ sample code to build Sybase
XA switch files has been modified to accommodate the change in
    the Sybase libraries.

An additional change to the sample code has been made to correct
the library path for Oracle 18c.
