  • This APAR updates the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) supplied
with IBM MQ V8.0.

USERS AFFECTED:
The components of MQ 8.0 which utilise the embedded JRE include:

- the IBM MQ classes for Java and the IBM MQ classes for JMS
which use the JRE shipped by IBM MQ to run their applications

- IBM MQ Managed File Transfer Edition

- IBM MQ Advanced Message Protocol (AMQP)

- IBM MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT)

- IBM MQ Explorer


Platforms affected:
AIX, Linux on Power, Linux on S390, Linux on x86, Linux on
x86-64, Linux on zSeries, Solaris SPARC, Solaris x86-64, Windows

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
IBM MQ ships the JRE component to enable Java based
capabilities. This APAR updates the JRE level.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The level of JRE has been updated to :

  7.1.4.35 -  AIX, Linux (x86-64, ppcLE, zLinux), Windows

  7.0.10.35 - Solaris (SPARC, x86-64)

The JRE for HP-UX (Itanium) has not been updated under this
APAR.  At the time of writing, the version of the JRE supplied
within the IBM MQ installation for HP-UX (Itanium) is left at
version:

  7.0.10.30  - HP-UX (Itanium)
