Error description

  • If a subflow has a UDP which has been promoted and a message
flow which is using the UDP overrides the value then the
message flow can end up with an incorrect link causing the flow
    to fail when being deployed.

The issue occurs if you change anything in the main flow and
then anything in the subflow and then save the subflow first
and then save the message flow.

The issue can be seen by looking the flow xml. The following
    xml fragment gets changed from:

    <overriddenAttribute
    href="pmr34049subflow.subflow#Property.MyUDP"/>

    to

    <overriddenAttributehref="pmr34049subflow.subflow#//FCMComposite
    _1/MyUDP"/>

    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s):UDP, subflow,
    overriddenAttribute href, deploy

Local fix

  • Manually edit the xml file and change it back . e.g
    change//FCMComposite_1/MyUDP to Property.MyUDP

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If a subflow has a UDP which has been promoted and a message
flow which is using the UDP overrides the value then the
message flow can end up with an incorrect link causing the flow
    to fail when being deployed.

The issue occurs if you change anything in the main flow and
then anything in the subflow and then save the subflow first
and then save the message flow.

Problem conclusion

  • The product now correctly saves the UDP override link in the
    message flow.
If a message flow has the incorrect link then simply make any
small change to the flow and save it.
