Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
The issue affects the users of IBM MQ Explorer who use it to
create file transfer templates and specify:

    	- source or destination file encoding
    	- destination end of line (EOL) character

    Platforms affected:
    Windows, Linux on x86-64

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The "Add a transfer item" panel within the IBM MQ Explorer
Managed File Transfer plugin "Create a new template" wizard
allows users to specify the following properties for text
    transfers:

    	- source file encoding
    	- destination file encoding
    	- destination end of line (EOL) character

These properties can be set using the fields:

    	- source encoding -> User specific codepage
    	- destination encoding -> Use specific codepage
    	- Destination line ending

on the panel, and map to the following fteCreateTransfer command
    line options:

    	-sce
    	-dce
    	-dle

When a user set one of these options, then the "Command preview"
text box (on the last page of the wizard) did not show the
    appropriate arguments (-sce, -dce, -dle).

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ Explorer Managed File Transfer plugin has been
updated so that if the "Create a new template" wizard is used to
create a text transfer, and one or more of the following options
    are selected:

    	- source encoding -> User specific codepage
    	- destination encoding -> Use specific codepage
    	- Destination line ending

then the -sce, -dce and -dle arguments, with the appropriate
values, will be shown in the "Command preview" text box.
