IT26716: DEVICE TYPE MISMATCH FOR STORWIZE V5000 (SHOWS AS V7000 IN SAT)

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• The Storage Automation Tool (SAT) synchronizes with the Spectrum
  Control database and incorrectly associates Storwize V5000
  storage as V7000 based on the device type.  The device type
  mismatch occurs because the type value stored for the V5000
  storage system in the Spectrum Control database is incorrect.
  However, the Spectrum Control GUI shows the correct device type
  for the Storwize V5000 in the storage system general properties.
  

Local fix

• Add the V5000 manually to SAT and maintain credentials there.
