Error description

  • When a new pattern on Pureapp AIX was created using template
    "IBM
    MQ Multi-Instance" the following error message was displayed :

    "Metadata of MQ_FIXPACK cannot be loaded. Make sure that the
    images, script packages, and pattern types that are in the
    pattern are installed, the licenses are accepted. For script
    packages and images, user also need to have read access right to
    access it.
                                                         "

    As a consequence the MQ software component attributes in the
    standby node were not correctly linked to the MQ attributes in
    the primary node.

Local fix

  • Manually create the links between the attributes of the primary
    MQ
    node and the attributes of the secondary MQ node as follows:

    IBM MQ Standby -> IBM MQ Active
    ======================
    	Queue manager name	->	ha_standby_name
    	Listener port	->	ha_standby_port
    	Queue manager
    directory	->	ha_standby_directory
    	Shared directory	->	ha_standby_shared_dir
    	Error path	->	ha_standby_error_path
    	Manage MQ data
    manually	->	ha_standby_manage_mq_data_manually
    	Use existing MQ queue manager data
    directory	->	ha_standby_existing_data_path
    	Do not install IBM MQ Advanced
    components	->	ha_standby_do_not_install_mq_advanced_comp
    onents
