IT26569: MEMORY LEAK CAN OCCUR IN THE SERVER THAT HAS MONITORING ENABLED.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Memory leak can occur on Tivoli Storage Manager or Spectrum
  Protect server that has monitoring enabled.  SHOW ALLOC command
  will show that number of entries and allocated bytes are
  increasing in GUISupportThread thread like below:
  
   monutil.c line 2243:   9688 entries for  88333509 bytes
  (monEnqQueue) thread 43(GUISupportThread parent=1)
   ...
   monutil.c line 2243:  11110 entries for 164954471 bytes
  (monEnqQueue) thread 43(GUISupportThread parent=1)
  
  In addition, the SHOW THREAD command will show the output like
  below:

  The call stack demonstrates that the thread is waiting for the
  next data collection cycle so it should no longer have that
  memory allocated.
