Error description

  • A failure data capture (FDC) record is generated with probe ID
XC130031 and error code xecF_E_UNEXPECTED_SYSTEM_RC when
multiple application threads end concurrently without performing
    MQDISC processing.

The stack backtrace shows the following:

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the IBM MQ applications on Windows,
where multiple MQ-attached application threads terminate or call
    MQDISC concurrently

    Platforms affected:
    Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error meant that it was possible for the
xihCheckThreadList function to be called recursively, which in
turn resulted in a null pointer being accessed during MQDISC
    processing.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ client logic has been updated to prevent recursive
calls to xihCheckThreadList in this scenario.
