Error description

• At V10.0.0.10 the MALLOCOPTIONS default parameter used by IBM
  Integration Bus was optimized for performance. However this can
  result in excessive memory fragmentation and memory consumption
  for message flows where the size of the input messages is very
  variable.

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of IBM Integration Bus V10 and IBM App Connect
  Enterprise V11 on AIX where the input messages have a large
  variation in size.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  At IIB V10.0.0.10 the MALLOCOPTIONS default parameter used by
  IBM Integration Bus was optimized for performance.
  
  However this can result in excessive memory fragmentation and
  memory consumption for message flows where the size of the input
  messages is very variable.
  

Problem conclusion

• The product has been modified to allow a user to switch the
  preferred model using an environment variable:
  
  MQSI_MALLOCOPTIONS_OPTIMIZE=<Value>
  
  Where 'Value' is either 'MEMORY' to optimize for memory
  consumption
                                       or 'CPU'         to
  optimize for CPU usage (this is the default).
  
  When a user has been previously advised by IBM support to enable
  the environment variable "MQSI_FREE_MASTER_PARSERS", that
  configuration works best when combined with
  MQSI_MALLOCOPTIONS_OPTIMIZE=MEMORY.
