Error description
The following errors can be seen during a backup in the job log: Failed to find hypervisor objects under path /MS:1001/TAGCATEGORY:4d9f6e3081032605cc8a136680a804c5/TAG:a4074e e6627c52dcf051ffaf46592a37 Failed to find hypervisor objects under path /MS:1001/DC:29d3114c7dd3e02d432ad42a3883cc3b/FLDR:f769b4925e4f2a 375ed6394dd64eb6d9/FLDR:fc726b90b3cb7a85d4a2602805f46a07 This problem is specific to the /TAG and /FLDR in the error messages indicating a TAG and a FOLDER. In this case a TAG and/or FOLDER was removed on the vCenter which IBM Spectrum Protect Plus detects but does not clean up its inventory. The error will only be seen once after the TAG or FOLDER is removed. The error does not affect the backup or recoverability of the virtual machine or application. Steps to recreate: 1. Create a tag and a folder in VMware. 2. Add VMs to the folder in VMware. 3. Assign tag to the new folder in VMware. 4. Run the hypervisor inventory. Associate SLA to the tag 5. Run backup 6. Remove SLA from the folder 7. Run backup again. 8. "Failed to find hypervisor objects under path" will be seen in the job log. 9. Run backup, the tag missing error should be gone. 10. At this point the invalid association made against the tag will be removed. Initial impact: Low Platform affected: 10.1.0, 10.1.1 Keywords: TS000871235

Problem conclusion
"Failed to find hypervisor objects under path" error was caused when a tag or folder was removed on the vCenter. IBM Spectrum Protect Plus detects the removal but does not clean up inventory. Spectrum Protect Plus has been updated to resolve this condition.
