Error description

• BACKUP VM using the HotAdd transport method might stop with the
  following messages :
  
  ANS9365E VMware vStorage API error for virtual machine
  '<vmname>'.
     IBM Spectrum Protect function name :

     IBM Spectrum Protect file          :

  ANS4174E Full VM backup of VMware Virtual Machine '<vmname>'
  failed with RC=-1 mode=Incremental Forever - Incremental, target

  The above messages can have different root causes, this APAR

  The VDS error code can vary, but you always will see 'HotAdd
  ManagerLoop caught an exception'.
  The problem is a known VMware defect.
  The VMware VDDK assumes erroneously that there is an AHCI
  controller in the guests.
  This issue occurs when re-scanning for new disks on the AHCI
  controller fails.
