Error description

  • When using the EVAL ESQL function to evaluate a UDP, if the UDP
does not have a default value then the following Exception is
    thrown during evaluation:

    Jul 12 09:55:47 BOX IIB[22856]: IBM Integration Bus v100012
    (TESTNODE.default) [Thread 23130] (Msg 4/4) BIP2402E: (, 1.1) :
    Syntax error : 'EOF'.

The issue is caused because the UDP is evaluated to the empty
string and this empty string is treated as an ESQL expression.
When parsing this resultant expression the parser fails.

The issue may not occur if the "Compile and inline resources"
checkbox is selected when building the bar file because under
those circumstances the deploy processing may replace the UDP
    values as part of pre-processing.

Local fix

  • Enable compile and inline resources when building the bar file

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When using the EVAL ESQL function to evaluate a UDP, if the UDP
does not have a default value then the following exception is
    thrown during evaluation:

    BIP2402E: (, 1.1) : Syntax error : 'EOF'.

Problem conclusion

  • The parser no longer treats a UDP with no value as an empty
string and parsing the expression no longer fails.
