IT25489: Grammatical corrections to some MQ MFT command line messages

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Some of the IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) command line
  messages that were added under APAR IT22423 and further updated
  under IT24817 contain grammatical errors in the message
  explanation or user action text.  This includes messages that
  contained the following text:
  
  "An WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer"
  
  For example:
  
  BFGCL0764I Explanation:
  An WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer administrator issued the
  fteModifyAgent command that resulted in the agent being
  configured to run as a Windows service.
  
  
  In addition, some messages in the user action text did not
  contain a space between the words "MQ" and "product".  For
  example:
  
  BFGCL0577E User action:
  Modify the compressed file so that it conforms to the required
  format. Refer to the WebSphere MQproduct documentation for
  further information. Rerun the ftecfg command.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Grammatical errors existed in the explanation section for the
  following Managed File Transfer (MFT) messages:
  
    - BFGCL0764I
    - BFGCL0765I
    - BFGCL0766I
    - BFGCL0767I
    - BFGCL0768I
    - BFGCL0769I
  
  in that they contained the text "An WebSphere MQ Managed File
  Transfer" as opposed to "A WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer".
  
  The user action text for the messages:
  
    - BFGCL0577E
    - BFGCL0578E
    - BFGCL0593E
  
  did not include a space between the words "WebSphere MQ" and
  "product".
  

Problem conclusion

• The grammatical errors noted in the "Problem Summary" section of
  this APAR have been updated.
