Error description

  • Using the .NET assembly (amqmdnet.dll) from the redistributable
client package with an XMS client application causes a
System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type
'IBM.WMQ.ManagedCommonServices'
from assembly 'IBM.XMS.Client.WMQ, Version=9.0.5.0

Local fix

  • Set the environment variable
MQCSCLASS=amqmdnet(IBM.WMQ.ManagedCommonServices).

Problem summary

USERS AFFECTED:
Users using XMS DOT NET application in redistributable MQ client
to connect to queue manager.


Platforms affected:
Windows

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A coding error in the redistributable MQ client meant that
System.TypeLoadException was thrown when XMS .NET application is
used to connect to the queue manager.

Problem conclusion

  • The logic has been corrected to not throw the exception when XMS
.Net application is used to connect to the queue manager from
the redistributable client.
