IT25414: CLUSTER CONFIGURATION WIZARD CAUSES DSMAGENT CRASH IN PARSECLUSTERGROUP

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the IBM Spectrum Protect GUI client "Help me protect my
  cluster" wizard is used to configure the /a backup scheduler for
   a MSCS cluster, the configuration wizard can terminate with
  "IBM Spectrum Protect AGENT Client has stopped working" followed
   by "ANS4087E" error. This is a result of a dsmagent.exe crash.
  
  Memory dump analysis will contain information similar to the
  following:

  The crash can occur when a cluster group has many disk
  resources, for example 20 or more. When these are being parsed
  by the dsmagent it may result in a buffer overflow.

Problem conclusion
