Error description

  • It is not possible to push API's to API Connect v2018 hosted on
    bluemix. This is because IIB uses basic auth to authenticate to
    the API Connect instance and this has been disabled for the
    cloud managed version of API Connect.
    
    This APAR provides an API Token based implementation compatible
    with API Connect v2018 running on bluemix.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    It is not possible to push APIs to API Connect v2018 hosted on
    IBM Cloud. This is because IIB uses basic auth to authenticate
    to
    the API Connect instance and this has been disabled for the
    cloud managed version of API Connect and an API key must be used
    instead.
    
    Additionally TLSv1.2 must be used as the SSL protocol for all
    HTTPS connectivity and the object structure of some responses is
    different between API Connect v5 and API Connect 2018.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Toolkit and the mqsipushapis command have been updated to
    allow the user to use a API key for publishing to API Connect.
    In order to treat the password as an API key the username must
    be left blank. Additionally TLSv1.2 is now used for the SSL
    protocol for all HTTPS connections to API Connect.
    
    Responses using the API Connect v2018 object structure are now
    parsed correctly.
