Error description

  • When a backup is executed on a client node that has an NFS
    mount point and the NFSTIMEOUT client option is greater than
    '0', the dsmc command can hang and these messages are observed
    in the dsmerror.log file-

    ANS0361I DIAG: virtstat.cpp        (1542): tryOnTap: failed!
    Descriptor 1041 is not ready for RECEIVING of a tap.
    ANS0361I DIAG: virtstat.cpp        ( 788): dsmNFSsyscalls:
    tryOnTap() failed, rc(-1), errno(25)
    ANS0361I DIAG: linux/pserrno.cpp   ( 304): TransErrno:
    Unexpected error from GetFSInfo:statfs, errno = 25

    If this is a scheduled backup, the following message will be
    logged in the schedlog, with no further messages-

          Executing scheduled command now.

    Another condition of the hang is that the data descriptor in the
    message above is greater than 1024.
