    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * Traditional Chinese UDC-4 range characters are not displayed *
    * correctly in IBM Personal Communications emulator session. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The issue was due to the default mapping where the Big-5 UDC-4
    range 8181~8C82 is mapped to the EBCDIC UDC-4 range of
    E0EB~E2D4; whereas, the user was referring to C6A1~C8FE -
    E0EB~E2D4 range.

Problem conclusion

  • The default Big-5 to EBCDIC UDC-4 range mapping in PCOMM has
    been changed. Now Big-5 (C6A1~C8FE) range maps to EBCDIC
    (E0EB~E2D4).

    Note: User can enable the old Big-5 to EBCDIC UDC-4 range code
    point mapping 8181~8C82 to E0EB~E2D4 by adding the below WS
    keyword.

    Fix scheduled for PCOM 12.0.4.0 and 13.0.1.0 Refresh Pack.
