Error description

• After upgrading the Spectrum Protect client software to versions
  7.1.8.0, and 8.1.2.0, the first attempt to start the client GUI
  may prompt for a password when dsm.sys is configured with
  options PASSWORDACCESS set to GENERATE, and ENCRYPTKEY set to
  GENERATE.

  The problem has been created on MacOS clients when starting the
  client GUI for the first time by selecting "IBM Spectrum
  Protect" option from "IBM Spectrum Protect Tools for
  Administrators". Linux and other Unix clients may also experienc
  this behavior when first starting the client GUI (dsmj), after
  the client upgrade.

  Client versions 7.1.8.0, and 8.1.2.0 on MacOS, Linux, and UNIX.

Local fix

• After upgrading client to 7.1.8.0, and 8.1.2.0, first start and
  connect to the server using client executable dsmc or dsmcad,
  these will honor the dsm.sys PASSWORDACCESS GENERATE,and not
  prompt for a password.

Problem conclusion

• Now Java GUI client does not prompt the password if
  "passwordaccess generate" and "encryptkey generate" are
  specified in options file
