APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When activating "User Authentication Required" on default "HTTP
Server Adapter", the server asks for basic authentication
credentials when accessing demo BP URI "/hello" as expected.

When accessing "/hello-war" (or any other deployed war URI),
no basic auth credentials are required.

The URI should be protected whether behind the URI is a BP or a
war.

Local fix

  • The workaound for this is to remove the entries for GET and
POST in the first <security-constraint> block in
<install_dir>/noapp/etc/webdefault.xml.
