IT22868: Core dump on completion of runmqsc session when name resolution across multiple hops fails to a remote queue manager

Error description

• When a name resolution error in an intermediary queue manager
  prevents a remote
  MQSC session from communicating with the ultimate target queue
  manager then error
  AMQ8101 is displayed in the MQSC session.  When the MQSC session
  is ended then
  the session crashes with a core dump.

  This issue affects users of IBM MQ V8 and V9 who use MQSC to
  administer remote queue managers.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When a name resolution error in an intermediary queue manager
  prevents a remote MQSC session
  from communicating with the ultimate target queue manager then
  an error message is
  returned to the runmqsc session which displays error AMQ8101.
  
  A programming error during the processing of the error message
  meant that a memory
  buffer pointer was incorrectly reassigned.  This caused the
  memory buffer to be freed twice when
  the session was ended, resulting in a crash and a core dump when
  the runmqsc program exited.
  

Problem conclusion

• The programming error has been fixed to prevent the pointer
  being incorrectly reassigned.
