APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running an application activity trace of an application
which handles an asynchronous MQ callback, such as the amqscbf
sample, the activity trace reports an incorrect thread ID.

The same error may be seen in the thread ID passed to an API
    exit for an asynchronous callback.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of MQ V8 and later using application activity trace or API
exits with applications using asynchronous callback routines.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error in the queue manager routines for recording
application activity trace and invoking API exits meant that an
incorrect thread ID was recorded when reporting asynchronous
    callback routine invocation.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ product has been modified to set the correct thread id in
API exits and application activity trace when used by
    asynchronous callback routines.
