Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
This issue affects users of the IBM MQ V8.0.0.7 Explorer Managed
    File Transfer (MFT) plug-in.
    Platforms affected:
    Windows, Linux on x86-64
    APAR IT08210:
created a new IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) jar file name
"" that was used to ship
some MFT Java classes that were previously included in the jar
    file named "".
The MQ Explorer ships a number of MFT jar files that are used by
the MFT plug-in, including the jar file. In the MQ V8.0.0.7
Fix Pack, these jar files were updated for the MQ Explorer to a
later build version that included the fix for APAR IT08210.
    This meant that the updated
jar file that was shipped did not contain the MFT product
classes that it did previously, as these were now included in
    the jar file; as per
    APAR IT08210.
As a result, a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError was thrown within
the MFT plug-in code when a user of the MQ Explorer attempted to
connect to an MFT topology. This was caught internally by the
MQ Explorer and the connect request failed, without an error
dialog being displayed to the user.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ Explorer has been updated to ship the Managed File
    Transfer (MFT) jar file,
introduced in APAR IT08210, as required by the MFT plug-in.
The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs:
    Version Maintenance Level
The latest available MQ maintenance can be obtained from
    'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes'
If the maintenance level is not yet available information on
its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ
    Planned Maintenance Release Dates'
