Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the IBM MQ V8.0.0.7 Explorer Managed
    File Transfer (MFT) plug-in.

    Platforms affected:
    Windows, Linux on x86-64

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    APAR IT08210:

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IT08210

created a new IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) jar file name
"com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutine.api.base.jar" that was used to ship
some MFT Java classes that were previously included in the jar
    file named "com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutine.api.jar".

The MQ Explorer ships a number of MFT jar files that are used by
    the MFT plug-in, including the
com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutine.api.jar jar file. In the MQ V8.0.0.7
Fix Pack, these jar files were updated for the MQ Explorer to a
later build version that included the fix for APAR IT08210.
This meant that the updated com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutine.api.jar
jar file that was shipped did not contain the MFT product
classes that it did previously, as these were now included in
the jar file com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutine.api.base.jar; as per
    APAR IT08210.

As a result, a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError was thrown within
the MFT plug-in code when a user of the MQ Explorer attempted to
connect to an MFT topology. This was caught internally by the
MQ Explorer and the connect request failed, without an error
dialog being displayed to the user.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ Explorer has been updated to ship the Managed File
    Transfer (MFT) jar file com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutine.api.base.jar,
introduced in APAR IT08210, as required by the MFT plug-in.
