Error description
When an application uses index on expression package and 'current package path' is set but SYSIBM is not part of it, it would hit the -901 error. SQL0901N The SQL statement or command failed because of a database system error. (Reason "index on expression package not found!".) SQLSTATE=58004 db2diag log may report the following patterns. FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, relation data serv, sqlrrSqlCode, probe:15 DATA #1 : SQLCA, PD_DB2_TYPE_SQLCA, 136 bytes sqlcaid : SQLCA sqlcabc: 136 sqlcode: -805 sqlerrml: 42 FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, relation data serv, sqlrr_dump_ffdc, probe:250 DATA #1 : SQLCA, PD_DB2_TYPE_SQLCA, 136 bytes sqlcaid : SQLCA sqlcabc: 136 sqlcode: -901 sqlerrml: 38 sqlerrmc: index on expression package not found!
Local fix
Add 'SYSIBM' into current package path. For example, SET CURRENT PACKAGE PATH '<your package path name to use in applications>,SYSIBM'
