APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer was using the "userrestore" command to restore backed
    up users but the restore caused SIGSEGV and generates a failure
    data capture (FDC) report and fails to restore the users
    properly. The FDC generated had the following header and the
    stack.

Problem summary

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    This issue occurred due to an internal logic error which made an
    illegal memory access by passing an incorrect number of
    parameters to the snprintf() function.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ appliance userrestore command has been updated to pass
    the correct parameters to snprintf().
