APAR status

Error description

  • When using using a TLS-enabled channel to perform AMS
MCA interception, the following message is seen in the queue
    manager error logs:

AMQ6174: The dynamically loadable shared library
'lib64/libgsk8acmeidup_64.so' was not found. The system
returned error number '2' and error message 'No such file or
    directory'

No errors are reported to the application, and AMS processing
takes place as expected despite the presence of this error.

Local fix

  • This error message can be ignored.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users who have configured AMS MCA interception on a SVRCONN
channel which makes use of TLS or SSL.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When using AMS MCA interception on a TLS-enabled channel,
cryptographic libraries will be loaded in two stages. A subset
of cryptographic libraries are loaded when the SVRCONN channel
starts, and then additional libraries are required to be loaded
when the first AMS-interceptable API call is made over the
    channel.

The MQ library loading routines correctly detected this, and
loaded the additional libraries when the first AMS-interceptable
API call was made. However, a logic omission caused the AMQ6174
message to be incorrectly reported during this load operation,
even though the condition being reported was expected.

Problem conclusion

  • The AMS interceptor code has been corrected to suppress the
AMQ6174 message for this expected condition when additional
    cryptographic libraries are being loaded.

The AMQ6174 message will continue to be correctly reported in
the event of an incorrectly configured system where the
necessary cryptographic libraries are not present within the
    installation.
