  • Below error is reported in the queue manager error logs during
    AMQP service startup.

    AMQ5531: Error locating user or group in LDAP
    
    EXPLANATION:
    The LDAP authentication and authorization service has failed in
    the ldap_search
    call while trying to find user or group ''. Returned count is 0.
    Additional
    context is '(&(objectClass=*)(sAMAccountName=))'.
    ACTION:
    Specify the correct name, or fix the directory configuration.
    There may be
    additional information in the LDAP server error logs.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users using the AMQP service and who use LDAP authentication on
    the queue managers.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Due to a logic error, the queue manager incorrectly attempted to
    perform LDAP user validation on the uid of AMQP channel process
    as it started up, resulting in the error message.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ queue manager code has been modified to fix this issue.
