APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The IBM System Director CAS agent is not being used by the
PureApplication System.  The agent should be removed from
the IBM OS Image for AIX Systems that are provided by IBM.

Local fix

  • The following are the commands to remove these component:

/opt/ibm/director/bin/diruninstall

installp -u artex.base.agent
installp -u cas.agent
installp -u sysmgt.cim.smisproviders.hba_hdr
installp -u sysmgt.cim.smisproviders.hhr
installp -u sysmgt.cim.smisproviders.vblksrv

installp -u sysmgt.cim.providers.scc
installp -u sysmgt.cim.providers.osbase
installp -u sysmgt.cimserver.pegasus.rte
installp -u tivoli.tivguid

Problem summary

  • SYSTEM DIRECTOR CAS AGENT IS NOT BEING
USED AND SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE IBM OS IMAGE FOR AIX

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System and
BlueMix Local System version 2.2.4.0
