APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you click 'Open ESQL' when you right-click on the compute
node on the flow canvas, the ESQL editor opens but adds a new
CREATE COMPUTE MODULE template to the end of the ESQL file,
with the same name as the existing module, so it becomes a
    duplicate name.

This happens when an Eclipse workspace build is in progress,
which happens if you click 'Project --> Clean...', or if you
    have just started the toolkit.

    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s):

Local fix

  • Open the ESQL file directly from the Navigator pane of the
Application Development view. Alternatively, perform a
'Project --> Clean...' before opening the ESQL file from the
    subflow graph with 'Open ESQL'.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If you click 'Open ESQL' when you right-click on the compute
node on the flow canvas, the ESQL editor opens but adds a new
CREATE COMPUTE MODULE template to the end of the ESQL file, with
the same name as the existing module, so it becomes a duplicate
    name.

This happens when an Eclipse workspace build is in progress,
which happens if you click 'Project --> Clean...', or if you
    have just started the toolkit.

Problem conclusion

  • The product now checks to see if a build is in progress and
provides a pop dialog box to warn you if there is one and waits
    for it to complete.
