Error description

  • IBM Sterling B2B Integrator V5.2.6.2_4
Incorrect default value for strip.blanks and xlate in BINARY
mode after the enhancement for providing a mechanism for
overriding the CDSA's factory defaults for strip.blanks and
xlate copy statement SYSOPTS parameters introduced in V5020602_4
    (IT19670).

Local fix

  • STRRTC - #539801
    GM / GM
Circumvention: Override the default by explicitly specifying
XLATE=NO in the SYSOPTS of the C:D process COPY statement.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
IBM Sterling B2B Integrator V5.2 Users

    Problem Description:
The new Copy Statement Default parameters provide a mechanism
for overriding factory default values. These defaults come
into play only when certain parameters (strip.blanks, xlate)
are not specified in the remote PNODE's copy statement. Prior
to this, the strip.blanks parameter defaulted to false in
binary transfers. It is now obtaining its default from the
property value defined in the cdinterop-copy-defaults.properties
    file.
As a result, strip.blanks is no longer backward compatibile.
