PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The gcc option "-fpic" is a compiler parameter for position
independent code but it has been used as a linker option by the
MQ Classes for Java to permit the use of the queue manager as an
XA coordinator for work involving a database.  The parameter is
not a valid linker option.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The "-fpic" link option has been removed from the Linux makefile
for XA switch load files.
