Error description

  • There are 35 external database pools (MySQL, Oracle, SQL
Server, DB2 and Informix) defined in the
customer_overrides.properties file. Databases that the customer
connects to are offline when IBM Sterling B2B Integrator is
    up from a reboot.
When this occurs and you attempt to perform an operation
against that database, the system displays "Cannot create a
connection with an invalid pool" error.

Another restart of the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator application
while the database is online resolves the issue.
This seems to happen for all DBMS.
You must set the databasePool.transaction parameter to true
and will resolve the issue and allow the LWJDBC adapter to
successfully connect to the external database.
The customer external database pools were either defined with
transaction set to false or without the transaction parameter
    (defaults to false).

Support has found that setting transaction to true as well as
type to remote causes database corruption problems during map
translation if the transaction needs to rollback. Customer uses
the most external database pools for both LWJDBC connections
    and map translation.

From the documentation, the transaction parameter determines
whether the database pool can participate in distributed
transactions. Assume this together with type = remote is
required for the database two-phase commit.
