With a DB2 version containing this APAR db2iuprune fails not
    finding the library  libibmc++.so.1:

     /tmp/server_t/db2/linux390/utilities/db2iprune/db2iprune -r
    /tmp/db2server_t.prn -o /opt/IBM/db2/server_t -t
    /db2home/db2inst1/scripts/root_scripts/db2iprune.trc -l
    /db2home/db2inst1/scripts/root_scripts/db2iprune.log

    /tmp/server_t/db2/linux390/utilities/db2iprune/../../install/../
bin/db2usrinf: error while loading shared libraries:
libibmc++.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
    directory

    /tmp/server_t/db2/linux390/utilities/db2iprune/../../install/../
bin/db2usrinf: error while loading shared libraries:
libibmc++.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
    directory

    /tmp/server_t/db2/linux390/utilities/db2iprune/../../install/../
bin/db2usrinf: error while loading shared libraries:
libibmc++.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
    directory

    /tmp/server_t/db2/linux390/utilities/db2iprune/db2iprune: line
95: [: -ne: unary operator expected

db2_install can also fail with the same error

Local fix

  • set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to the install image path that has
    the library included, example:
    /tmp/server_t/db2/linux390/install
