Error description

  • A queue manager fails to start on NonStop Server on Itanium
    after WMQ upgrade to 5.3.1.12.

    ThreadedAgents are set to NO in the qmproc.ini file:
    "ThreadedAgents=NO"

    The following error may be observed:

    Triggermonitor server cannot be started.

    LQMA also stops and FDCs are generated.

Local fix

  • The workaround is to set ThreadedAgents=Yes under the LQMA
    stanza of the qmproc.ini abd then start the queue manager.

Problem summary

  • FixPack V5.3.1.12 introduced a regression which caused
    unthreaded LQMAs to terminate unexpectedly during startup.

Problem conclusion

  • The regression has been resolved.

Temporary fix

  • Configure the queue managers to use threaded LQMAs.
