Error description

  • Upgrading the IBM Spectrum Protect Client to version 8.1 on a
Mac OS X system, can leave some files and directories
belonging to previous installation and using old product naming
convention.
For example, after a successful upgrade, a directory called
"Tivoli Storage Manager" can still be found.

Local fix

  • Manually remove "/Applications/Tivoli Storage Manager" from the
previous software installation.
