Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: This issue affects users of runmqras on Windows Platforms affected: Windows **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A coding error within the runmqras utility caused the Java Virtual Machine to incorrectly attempt to perform a regular expression substitution when expanding keywords in the isa.xml configuration file. If one or more of the paths to be used during expansion contained a "$" character, such as if using a hidden Windows network share, then the substitution failed as with a pattern matching error. Additionally, certain Windows paths, in particularly UNC paths, were escaped incorrectly, which caused some of the data capture activities to silently fail to gather the expected data. In this scenario, files such as installDirFiles.stderr and explorerFiles.stderr would be generated reporting "The specified path is invalid." and the corresponding *.stdout files remain empty within the runmqras output.
Problem conclusion
The string substitution routines used by runmqras have been updated to avoid the incorrect regular expression matching, and remove the incorrect path escaping in order to support UNC paths. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v7.5 7.5.0.8 v8.0 8.0.0.7 v9.0 CD 9.0.2 v9.0 LTS 9.0.0.1 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
