APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Two appliances are configured in a high availability group with
a third appliance configured for disaster recovery. While the
primary HA appliance is rebooting the disaster recovery
configuration is removed and the queue manager is deleted on the
secondary HA appliance. The queue manager is successfully
deleted on the secondary HA appliance but the disaster recovery
resources, including logical volumes, are not correctly deleted
on the primary HA appliance once it has restarted.

Local fix

  • When deleting a queue manager that has been configured for both
high availability and disaster recovery users should ensure that
both appliances in the high availability group are available.

Problem summary

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error in the routines to handle disaster recovery meant
that not all resources were removed correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • Disaster recovery processing has been updated to correctly clean
up resources for a queue manager that has been deleted on the
other appliance in a high availability group.
