APAR status

Error description

  • An MQ client program issues the following sequence:
xa_open
  MQCONN
  MQOPEN
  MQCLOSE
  MQDISC
  MQCONN
  MQOPEN

An error is seen from the MQOPEN call in the client program:
compcode=2 MQCC_FAILED
reason=2195 MQRC_UNEXPECTED_ERROR

Users of XA client programs that connect, then disconnect, then
connect again.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A list of object handles was cached by the IBM MQ client library
code, and the cache was not being cleared at the time the
connection was being re-established.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The IBM MQ client library code has been corrected to ensure the
cache is cleared when the connection is being re-established.
