Error description

  • The iib command makes it difficult to run a shared install as a
    non root user because it requires root permissions to modify
    /var and because it changes the permission of the install
    directory to root while creating the registry.

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM Integration Bus v10 and IBM App Connect
    Enterprise v11 who want to install as a non-root user with a
    shared installation directory.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    AIX, HP-UX Itanium platform, Linux on Power platform, Linux on
    x86-64 platform, Linux on zSeries platform, Solaris x86-64
    platform, Solaris SPARC platform, HP-UX PA-RISC platform, Linux
    on x86 platform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The iib command makes it difficult to run a shared install as a
    non root user because it requires root permissions to modify
    /var and because it changes the permission of the install
    directory to root while creating the registry.
