Error description

  • In MQ v8 with CONNAUTH feature, if connecting with a userid in
    an
MQCSP structure and CONNAUTH set with (CHCKCLNT=NONE and
ADOPTCTX=YES), MQ will not use the userid in MQCSP and will use
    the userid from the client.

However, if the userid from the client does not have
appropriate MQ authorities, an AMQ9557 error message will
    result, but it will
report the userid that was in the MQCSP when it is actually
    checking
    the userid from the client.

    example:
    Client userid = 'system'
    MQCSP userid = 'USER-1'
    -----------
AMQ9557: Queue Manager User ID initialization failed for
    USER-1.

    EXPLANATION:
The call to initialize the User ID 'USER-1' failed with
    CompCode 2 and
    Reason Page 2035.
    ------------

The MQ authorization checks were performed against the userid
'system', but the error message incorrectly reports 'USER-1'

Local fix

  • Provide appropriate MQ authorities to Client user id.
