Error description

  • IBM MQ .NET client application in unmanaged mode throws
MQRC_HCONN_ERROR when attempting to connect to the Queue
manager. The trace shows both mqe.dll and amqxcs2.dll being
    loaded.

In this example, thread 5 creates HConn=01000006 and the same is
being used by Thread 3 also, following which Thread 3 reports
    MQRC_HCONN_ERROR

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Those using IBM MQ .NET unmanaged client.

    Platforms affected:
    Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
IBM MQ .NET unmanaged code was incorrectly loading both
amqxcs2.dll and mqe.dll. This is causing one of the application
threads to use the non-sharable HCONN created by another thread
    causing MQRC_HCONN_ERROR.

Problem conclusion

  • IBM MQ .NET code has been modified such that the appropriate
libraries are loaded while issuing unmanaged .NET calls.
