IT13949: WMQ MFT WEB GATEWAY USING FILESPACE QUERY OPTIONS (STARTAFTER, ...) END WITH BFGWI0032E: PARAMETER 'STARTAFTER' IS INVALID.

Error description

• You run WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer Web Gateway.
  
  You have a large number of files sitting in filespaces in a
  web gateway and you want to get a selection of these files by
  using one of the supported filter options (transfer_query) as
  part of the "Uniform Resource Identifier syntax for using the
  Web Gateway".
  
  In the below example you try to get all files in a filespace
  that start after 2016/01/11:
  
    http://172.28.24.25:9080/wmqfte/filespace/7400_svc_transport?
    startafter=2016-01-11
  
  This query finishes with the error:
  
  BFGWI0032E: Parameter 'startafter' is invalid.
  
  Effectively all filespace query requests that include
  file_space_query parameters "startbefore, startafter, endbefore,
  or endafter" are rejected with the error message:
  
  BFGWI0032E: Parameter '<parameter name>' is invalid.

Problem summary

  filespace status parameter to filter response.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When the Web Gateway received a filespace status requests that
  used file space parameters to filter the responses, the wrong
  validation routine was used to validate the parameters. As a
  result, the request was rejected with a BFGWI0032E error. For
  example, the request:
  
  <connection>/<context_root>/filespace/<file_space_name>?startaft
  er=2016-01-01
  
  would receive the response
  
    BFGWI0032E: Parameter 'startafter' is invalid.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Web Gateway has been corrected to accept startbefore,
  startafter, endbefore, and endafter date/time parameters and
  compare these with the date/time each file space entry in the
  file space was created so that the response will contain a
  filtered list of entries.
